Katrina’s philosophy is to provide the best possible health care, drawing on her talents, experience and creativity as a practitioner in Geelong physiotherapy, to effectively treat and assist a client with their health problems. This enables them to return to normal functioning and improve their quality of life and feeling of wellbeing. Katrina strives to make the client independent rather than dependent, and uses a holistic approach. Katrina completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) in 1997 at Rotterdam University, Netherlands, and while living in Europe she also studied the Dr Vodder method for Lymphatic drainage. As a result she is a registered and accredited lymphatic practitioner.
Katrina has worked in a variety of settings, from private practice treating musculoskeletal problems, to a large rehabilitation and geriatric (elderly) centre, working on the stroke unit and with orthopaedics, geriatric rehabilitation and psychiatric care. She has also worked for two large Melbourne hospitals – The Epworth Richmond and St Vincent’s Hospital. While there her focus was in the acute neuroscience unit, orthopaedics, medical and oncology.
In her free time she loves sport; you might see her running with her 2 young children on the Barwon River Track.
