An Australian study showed referrals influence participation
- 80% of people reported that the clinicians referral influenced their participation
- 12-week exercise program significantly improved vigorous exercise levels and had a positive impact on mental health
- Men were 4x as likely to meet the minimum exercise guidelines
- Exercising 3 times per week (2 gym session and 1 home-based session) with a combined cardiovascular, resistance, flexibility and balance program was enough to achieve these outcomes.
