Fatigue Description:

Side effects related to a persistent feeling of physical, emotional, or mental tiredness or exhaustion. This type of fatigue is different than other types of fatigue because it interferes with a person’s usual functioning, does not reflect their level of activity, and does not improve with rest.

Fatigue Symptoms:

reduced interested in daily activities, hobbies, social relationships, mood, emotions, job performance; reduced feeling of well-being, sense of joy, attitude toward the future or ability to undergo treatment; lack of energy and motivation; lack of desire to sleep; weary; tired; exhausted; malaise; listless; lack of energy; feeling run down.

Pain Description:

Side effects related to a state of physical, emotional, or mental lack of well-being or physical, emotional, or mental uneasiness that ranges from mild discomfort or dull distress to acute often unbearable agony, may be generalized or localized. It produces a reaction of wanting to avoid, escape, or destroy the causative factor and its effects.

Pain Symptoms:

deep pain; aching pain; burning pain; phantom pain; acute pain; chronic pain; nerve pain; bone pain; soft tissue pain; referred pain.

Immune Description:

Side effects related to spleen, lymph nodes, bone marrow, leukocytes and neutrophils.

Immune Symptoms:

fever; chills; sweating; sore throat; sores in the mouth; toothache; abdominal pain; anus pain; burning when urinating; urinating often; diarrhea; sores around the anus; cough; shortness of breath; redness; swelling around a cut; wound; catheter; unusual vaginal discharge or itching; neutropenia; infection; fibrosis; viral hepatitis and graft verse host disease; thrush; herpes.

Cognitive Description:

Side effects related to conscious intellectual activity such as thinking, reasoning, remembering, imagining, or learning.

Cognitive Symptoms:

difficulty concentrating or focusing; anxiety; mental fog; stress; disorientation; chemo brain; spatial orientation; memory loss; problems with understanding; poor judgment; difficulty reasoning; impaired organizational and language skills; problems multitasking; difficulty processing information; behavioural and emotional changes; severe confusion; hypersomnia; excessive daytime sleepiness; prolonged drowsiness; nightmares; insomnia; depression; irritability; reversal of day and night; personality changes; depression; hallucinations; decision making impairments; low mood

Reproductive Description:

Side effects related to prostate, testes, ovaries, ducts and glands.

Reproductive Symptoms:

weight gain; hot flashes; severe sweating; decreased libido; vaginal dryness, itching, irritation, or discharge; painful sexual intercourse; bladder control difficulties; hypercalcemia; loss of fertility; early menopause; impotence.

Gastrointestinal Description:

Side effects related to mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, anus, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Gastrointestinal Symptoms:

nephrotoxicity and changes in glomerular filtration; incontinence; nausea; vomiting; pain; cramping; swelling; indigestion; inability to urinate; haemorrhoids; oedema; decreased appetite; diarrhoea; shortness of breath; dry; fatigue; oral pain; raised, tender, reddish nodules; ulcerative lesions; difficulty swallowing; difficulty speaking; compromised airway; dry mouth; cirrhosis of the liver; bowel & bladder changes; constipation; difficulty eating; mouth ulcers; reduction in salivary flow; dryness, redness, irritation to the mouth; changes in mouth and gums and throat and taste; painful swallow; thrush; candida; feel full quickly; delayed stomach emptying; bowel obstruction; bleeding gums; abdominal swelling; discomfort and increased waist size; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; decreased appetite and a sense of fullness; abdominal pressure or pain; Indigestion; weight gain; constipation; abdominal distension; bloating; colitis; fistula; reflux or heartburn; dyspepsia; stoma output; flatulence; gastritis; proctitis; steatorrhea.

Urinary Description:

Side effects related to mouth, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, anus, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.

Urinary Symptoms:

nephrotoxicity and changes in glomerular filtration; incontinence; nausea; vomiting; pain; cramping; swelling; indigestion; inability to urinate; haemorrhoids; oedema; decreased appetite; diarrhoea; shortness of breath; dry; fatigue; oral pain; raised, tender, reddish nodules; ulcerative lesions; difficulty swallowing; difficulty speaking; compromised airway; dry mouth; cirrhosis of the liver; bowel & bladder changes; constipation; difficulty eating; mouth ulcers; reduction in salivary flow; dryness, redness, irritation to the mouth; changes in mouth and gums and throat and taste; painful swallow; thrush; candida; feel full quickly; delayed stomach emptying; bowel obstruction; bleeding gums; abdominal swelling; discomfort and increased waist size; difficulty breathing or shortness of breath; decreased appetite and a sense of fullness; abdominal pressure or pain; Indigestion; weight gain; constipation; abdominal distension; bloating; colitis; fistula; reflux or heartburn; dyspepsia; stoma output; flatulence; gastritis; proctitis; steatorrhea.

Endocrine Description:

Side effects related to body chemistry, hormones and glands.

Endocrine Symptoms:

armpit discomfort; scar tissue; web of thick, rope like structures under the skin of your inner arm.

Cardiovascular Description:

Side effects related to the circulation of blood through the body including the heart, arteries and blood vessels.

Cardiovascular Symptoms:

easily fatigued; loss of energy; unusually rapid heartbeat, particularly with exercise; shortness of breath and headache, particularly with exercise; difficulty concentrating; dizziness; pale skin; leg cramps; insomnia; bruising that is red; purple, or brown; a rash with small red or purple dots; nosebleeds; bleeding gums; bleeding from wounds that lasts a prolonged period of time or doesn’t stop on its own; heavy menstrual bleeding; shortness of breath or trouble breathing, especially with physical exertion; fatigue; tiredness; swelling in the ankles, feet, legs, abdomen, and veins in the neck; dizziness; light-headedness; fainting during physical activity; irregular heartbeats; chest pain especially after physical exertion or heavy meal; extra or unusual sounds heard during a heartbeat; reduction in endurance and speed or rapid heartbeat.

Integumentary Description:

Side effects related to the skin, and skin derivatives such as hair, nails, glands and receptors.

Integumentary Symptoms:

skin rash or severe burn after limited exposure to the sun; redness similar to a sunburn; swelling; a sensation of tingling or burning; hand and feet sensitive to touch; tightness of the skin; thick calluses; blisters on the palms and soles; calluses; blisters; chronic wounds; pressure ulcers or bed sores; nail changes; peeling skin; itching; dry skin; rashes; hair loss; pimples; red bumps; tenderness; pale skin; tender sores inside the nose; cracking of the fingertips; increased facial hair growth; bruising; abnormal thickening of the outer layer of the skin.
